parents are away and you have the whole house to yourself!  everyone else is probably spending time with the family.  a windowless conversion van with "ELCTRIC COMPANEY" spray-painted on the side has just parked in the drive.  must be the Upper Decker Bandits!  out come a tall thin guy and a short stocky guy.  the tall thin guy slips on the driveway's black ice and hits the concrete.  the short guy kicks him in the ribs and gestures for him to get up.
